Malta this year will celebrate the 1950th year of Christianity. For this event Pope Benedict XVI will visit the island for almost 2 days between the 17-18th April.
Although this major celebration gives Malta a good reason to issue a €2 commemorative coin, the Central Bank of Malta so far did not disclose if they plan to issue this commemorative coin or not, thus any news about this are mere rumours!
